I love Mary! It’s always a Jolly Holiday. This was a fun challenge. This was the first costume that required that I make an umbrella. I took apart a children’s umbrella, sewed new panels and ruffles and put the umbrella back together. I also made spats to cover my shoes since I couldn’t find a historic boot to match the scalloping.
The corset was patterned by me with steel boning for support.
The hat was a vintage ebay find with tulle and white flowers added. Appliques, lace and trim helped to complete the look.
She is so much fun to wear!
