This dress was created for my 1950’s Murder Mystery Engagement Party.
It is based on Frenchy’s beautiful blonde pineapple dress from the movie, Grease. This was created with bolts (yes, entire bolts) of yellow organza and many hours of sewing ruffles. The bolero was inspired by a dress I saw on the Lawrence Welk show. This dress also requires a special petticoat to create the “fullness” of the skirt.
